The group’s corporate head office and main warehouse are located in Montreal. At the warehouse, members have access
to products from more than a dozen certified suppliers, some of the industry’s major players, which have signed agreements that include warehousing
operations. The Dissan Group logistic operations include pooling orders at the warehouse allowing all members to have quick access to products and
equipment they may need to answer the needs of end-users across the country. Members can also place drop-ship orders directly with anyone of the groups
certified suppliers.
All transactions between the group, its members and its certified suppliers are completed through The Dissan Group central billing system. This way, certified suppliers
with whom The Dissan Group has signed an agreement must bill The Dissan Group for the purchases of the group’s members. The Dissan Group will then bill its members twice monthly with a
detailed description of all purchases and the members in turn pay The Dissan Group for all the merchandise ordered from certified suppliers and The Dissan Group warehouse.
For certified suppliers, central billing is a very practical solution when dealing with some 40 points of sale throughout the country.
The Dissan Group is always working to develop new value-added services for its members in order for them to improve their operations. For example, training sessions are
organized in collaboration with certified suppliers not only for the management team of the members, but for the entire sales force as well. Members also have
access an Intranet site filled with all types of reports, statistics, information and other worthwhile tools.
At the Annual General Meeting, members gather to elect a nine-person Board of Directors that includes at least seven members. The group’s executive team reports to this
Board of Directors. The head office staff oversee all activities pertaining to accounting, the development of new products, the recruiting of new suppliers and new members,
marketing and logistics as well as many other aspects of the group’s daily and strategic operations.
